Timed Ruling Mode
When enabled, you can link blocks between the plaintiff and defense sides. During a paused timer, you'll have the option to deduct the paused time from either the current side's block or the linked block on the opposing side, simulating the effect of sustained or overruled objections.
You may not want this enabled: check your competition rules. Some simply discard paused time, while others deduct based on the ruling.
Witness Timing Modes
Allocated Time: each witness gets their own time budget and counts down independently, the same as a normal block. The block's own time becomes a read-only sum of its witnesses' times.
Total Time: witnesses have no budget of their own; each just counts up on a stopwatch while selected. The block's own time is the real, user-set budget that ticks down for real while any of its witnesses is running.
This is a single setting for the whole trial. Check your competition rules if you're not sure which one to use.
